Why did we close after just opening?

January 2012— The building of our new facility is behind schedule and we don't know a completion date and so, for the time being, The Washington Sculpture Center is closed.

To be notified when we have more information, please send an email and we will add you to our newsletter list . Also, we would appreciate any comments or suggestions that you may have about the new facility — such as classes you'd like to see offered, features you'd like to see, etc.

We are not giving classes at the present time.

We were very excited and committed to the old site, but were forced out due to eminent domain which demolished our building to make room for a baseball stadium (The Nationals).

However, we expect that our new facilities, when completed, will be even more wonderful and serve the community as we have envisioned.
